Parents who need a well supervised, activity-oriented program for their children after school should give our programs a try. Children in kindergarten through fifth grade can have an enjoyable and exciting afternoon from 2:45 to 6 p.m. each school day. With guidance from a well-trained staff, the children will learn new games, sports, create their own special works of art, and have a chance to work on homework. Children are also treated to a snack and drink during the afternoon.
The cost of the after school program is $180 per session. Each session is six weeks in length and runs consecutively with the school district's grading periods. Georgia Farrow Recreation Center and Senter Park Recreation Center also offer a weekly payment option of $40 per week.
To register for the program, parents will need to present or purchase an Irving Parks and Recreation (IPAR) ID card and complete a registration form for each child they wish to enroll. Payment must be made at the time of registration.
