Beth Van Duyne, MayorA 25-year Irving resident, Beth Van Duyne was honored to be elected Mayor of the City of Irving in 2011, having served as a city council representative from 2004-2010. She fought hard against tax and fee increases, championed the movement against more apartment complexes and promoted smart development backed by legitimate investors. Beth is a dedicated volunteer, experienced professional, involved homeowner and devoted mother of two. Throughout her 20-year career, she has had the opportunity to work with small startup companies, mid-size private companies and Fortune 500 corporations like Verizon, American Airlines and SAP. She also founded and ran her own consulting business, working with executives to develop strategic business plans, negotiation strategies, grassroots coalition building, and federal and state legislative policy strategies. Beth is experienced in testifying and advocating at the local, state and federal levels for energy, economic development, transportation and water resources and funding. She has extensive experience and strong relationships in the transportation, healthcare, energy and telecommunication industries and is a past member of the North Texas Healthcare Tax Force, President of the Irving Republican Women's Club and Board member of New Tech High. Beth was the first council member to participate in the Irving Citizens Police Academy and the Irving Fire Academy. A frequently interviewed official, Beth has appeared in The New York Times, CNN, USA Today, ESPN and The Dallas Morning News. While serving as Deputy Mayor Pro Tem, she established and chaired Irving's Communications Committee. As Mayor, she has done extensive coalition building among local, state and federal officials and community leaders throughout the country through her activities with the US Conference of Mayors, National League of Cities, Texas Municipal League and North Central Texas Council of Governments. Beth is the council liaison for the Chamber of Commerce, DFW Board, Dallas Regional Mobility Coalition, TEX-21, Regional Transportation Council, and the Uban Center Task Force. Michael E. Gallaway, Place 1Michael Gallaway was elected to the Irving City Council in May 2010. He has 21 years of experience in the field of Supply Chain Management. Currently he is a Supply Chain Consultant and the co-owner of a small business in Irving. Mr. Gallaway is married to Deborah. His civic involvement includes serving on Irving ISD District Improvement Committee, the Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and has volunteered time to tutor children in math and reading.

Roy Santoscoy, Place 2 (at-large)Roy Santoscoy was elected to the Irving City Council in May 2010. He is a small business owner in Irving and has a lengthy history of community involvement. His civic experience includes previous chairman of the Planning and Zoning Commission, vice-chair of the Irving Convention and Visitors Bureau Board, and Board of Trustee of the Baylor Medical Center at Irving. Mr. Santoscoy and his wife, Cindy Wilson Santoscoy, have two teenaged children. Mr. Santoscoy is the chairman of the Community Services Committee and a member of the Education Committee and the Planning and Development Committee. He is the council liaison to the Museum Advisory Board, Housing and Human Services Board, and the Planning and Zoning Commission. Dennis Webb, Place 3Dennis Webb was elected to the City Council in June 2011. He has lived in the City of Irving for 30 years. He graduated from Nimitz High School in 1977. Councilman Webb is a Lieutenant with the Grand Prairie Fire Department. He has served in that capacity for over 15 years and has been employed by the City for 28 years. Councilman Webb is the Senior Pastor of the Bear Creek Community Church in Irving. He has been married to his wife Lydia for 29 years. His numerous civic involvement include serving a full term on the Planning and Zoning Commission and on the Mayor's Human Relations Advisory Committee. He currently serves as one of Irving's two representatives on the Community Service Block Grant Board of the Urban League of Greater Dallas. |

Joe Putnam, Place 4Joe Putnam was elected to the City Council in June 2012.Mr. Putnam is a member of the Audit and Finance Committee and the Transportation and Natural Resources Committee. He is the council liaison to the Board of Health and the Zoning Board of Adjustments. Rose Cannaday, Place 5Rose Cannaday was re-elected to the City Council in May 2011. She served as Mayor Pro Tem in 2010-11 and served as Deputy Mayor Pro Tem during 2009-10. She is the President/Owner of Cannaday & Associates Mediation Company. She provided the leadership for the city's logo change, rebranding of the city, and the development of the city's new web site. While serving as the liaison to the Communications Committee she has played a role in overseeing the demolition of Texas Stadium, which made national headlines. She has worked closely with the Legislative Committee to ensure Irving is properly represented in both Austin and Washington DC. Mrs. Cannaday is the chair person for the Education Committee and is a a member of the Audit and Finance Committee, and the Community Services Committee. She is the council liaison for the Animal Services Advisory Committee, Library Board, and Sister Cities. Mrs. Cannaday is also the alternate council liaison to the Green Advisory Committee, Irving Flood Control District, Section 1, and the Urban Center Task Force. |

Brad M. LaMorgese, Place 6Brad M. LaMorgese was elected by the voters in District 6 in May 2012. He is a husband, father of two, and has been a resident of Valley Ranch for ten years. Brad is actively engaged in the community with the residents of District 6 in Valley Ranch and Hackberry. He is a board-certified family lawyer and brings a depth of legal experience with him to his position. Brad has also served in various capacities in the legal field receiving multiple honors and accolades. He is committed to working hard for the residents and keeping Irving fiscally responsible. Mr. LaMorgese is the chairman for the Transportation and Natural Resources Committee and a member of the Planning and Development Committee. Gerald Farris, Mayor Pro Tem, Place 7Gerald Farris was elected to the City Council in May 2010. He is a native of Irving and attended Irving ISD. Mr. Farris was president of his neighborhood association in 2007. Currently he is in the Information Systems Business Analyst for JONES-BLAIR Company; he served seven years in Research and Development and nine years as Regulatory Manager. Thomas D. Spink, Deputy Mayor Pro Tem, Place 8 (at-large)Tom Spink was re-elected to the City Council in May of 2012, having served one term on council from 2007-2010. While serving on the council he was liaison to the Irving Youth Council, Housing and Human Services Board, and the Irving Arts Board. He frequently attends neighborhood association meetings in Irving. Mr. Spink is the chairman to the Audit and Finance Committee and a member of the Planning and Development Committee and Transportation and Natural Resources Committee. He serves as the council liaison to DCURD. He is also the alternate council liaison to the Housing and Human Services Board, the Chamber of Commerce, the Trinity River Authority, the Trinity River Cooridor, and the Upper Trinity Regional Water District. |
