To enhance the quality of life for Irving residents, the Housing and Human Services Department offers a variety of programs to help homeowners and first-time homebuyers.
Homebuyer Down Payment Assistance Program
Financial and housing counseling assistance is provided to homebuyers that are looking to purchase a house for the first time. Financial assistance is provided in the form of a 0% interest, deferred forgivable loan. These funds help pay for down payment and closing cost of the purchase of a home in Irving, TX.
Interested applicants must first attend a program orientation class. Classes are scheduled once a month, for more information or to reserve a spot please call 972.721.4800.

For New Homeowners:
The Housing and Human Services Department receives federal funding for the above programs and are available to qualifying families in Irving. Families must qualify under HUD income guidelines.

The architectural barrier removal program is a grant designed to assist senior citizens and/or disabled persons with repairs that increase mobility and livability inside homes. Home Restoration Program
