The Irving Public Library kicks off its community-wide reading series, One Book, One Irving, with a special appearance at the Irving Arts Center by Sandra Cisneros, author of “The House on Mango Street.” Her book is the 2007 selection for the annual program. One Book, One Irving encourages everyone to read the same book at the same time to generate dialogue and community-building through a shared experience. Cisneros will be available to meet the public and sign autographs. Her appearance is sponsored by the Friends of the Irving Public Library and made possible through the library’s partnership with the Irving Arts Center.
