What is a Blue Bag Buddy?

A Blue Bag Buddy is an individual or group that supports recycling and is willing to promote curbside recycling among neighbors, friends, family and co-workers. A Buddy is given a Blue Bag Buddy Promo Kit to assist him/her in promoting recycling. 

What type of materials can I get to help promote recycling in Irving?

You can order specific curbside recycling information in the form of door hangers (i.e., your specific collection day), as well as a Fact Sheet, Thank You, or information about a variety of city services. Each Blue Bag Buddy Promo Kit is custom made.

You will be given an instruction booklet, which will guide you through the use of items available to you to help promote recycling.

How long will it take to get my promo kit? 
Depending on the size of the order, the kit normally takes a week to create, at which
time you will be contacted by staff to make arrangements to get the kit to you.
