The city offers five seasonal pools: Lee, Lively, Senter, North Lake Aquatic Center (covered during the winter months) and Heritage Senior Center (indoor pool). Also, our two speciality pools are Cimarron Family Aquatic Center and West Irving Aquatic Center. For more information, call (972) 721-2501.
Seasonal Pools Operating with Modified Hours
Due to the Irving school year beginning, it is necessary to modify the pool hours to ensure that all facilities are operated by certified staff. The changes are as follows:
- Senter and Lee pools are open from 1 to 7 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays through Labor Day. The last day of operation is Sept. 3.
- Lively Pool is closed
- West Irving and Cimarron aquatic centers will be open the following hours:
- Aug. 20-24: open 7 a.m. to noon and 5-9 p.m.
- Aug. 25-26: open noon to 8 p.m.
- Aug. 27-31: open 7 a.m. to noon and 5-9 p.m.
- Sept. 1-3: open noon to 8 p.m.
Learn to Swim Program to Resume in January 2013
The Learn to Swim Program, which is offered thorugh Different Strokes Swim School, will resume classes in January 2013. For more information, please call Bev Gammon at (972) 264-2774.
