Chill Out With Winter Fun

Winters in Texas can mean anything from cold rain to black ice, but rarely include the fluffy white snow seen up north.  This year, bring the family to Cimarron Park for a taste of the fun side of winter!  Frost Fest is a free winter festival offering an opportunity to indulge in several fun activities, such as:
  • Petting zoo with reindeer display
  • Snow tubing hill and play area
  • Giant snow globe with complimentary family photos
  • Skating on the festival rink (ice skates available in sizes ranging from children's 12 to adult 12)
  • Train rides
  • Meet & greet with exciting characters from a popular children's movie

Inside Cimarron Park Recreation Center the Irving Public Library will provide library card sign-ups, various winter crafts, and a variety of story readings and puppet shows.  See the schedule below:

 10:15 a.m. Story Time: Winter
Puppet Show: The Mitten
11:15 a.m. Story Time: Penguins and Polar Bears
