About Storytime Programs

Family Storytime: All ages are invited to listen to stories, sing songs and participate; a perfect bonding time for the whole family. Bilingual (English - Spanish) classes are offered at the East Branch Library.

Play & Learn: Families, friends and neighbors and their children are invited to come play, create, and explore together. Play & Learn helps children improve their cognitive skills and develop positive relationship skills through playful activities. (Sponsored by the YMCA)
Baby / Mother Goose Storytime: A lapsit storytime with plenty of gentle activities including songs and fingerplays that build early literacy skills for babies.

1, 2, Me & You: Too old for Mother Goose, but not quite ready for Toddler Time? This program is designed to bridge that gap, and is perfect for one and two year olds. Be prepared to move! This storytime features large motor skills that will keep young minds and bodies occupied and includes stories and songs to engage and encourage the love of books and the library.
Toddler Storytime: Perfect for children who can sit still and listen for around 20 minutes, this interactive storytime includes stories, songs and fingerplays.

Brick-by-Brick Storytime: Children play with Duplo and simple construction toys while listening to stories.

Preschool Storytime : Stories, songs, puppet shows and crafts for children who are becoming independent of a parent's attention.
